Eating becomes a social activity in this stage of life for all the learners at school. As kids spend more time in school than they do at home, eat meals at friends’ houses, and adopt eating habits from their peers, The Hillside Prep always ascertains students’ health behaviours, including eating a healthy diet, correlated to academic achievements, grades, attendance, etc.
To ensure learners’ adequate consumption of nutrients with the touch of ‘variety’ in everyday meal, ‘two snack and a lunch’ package has been included in the school food menu. To meet the quality standards, a balanced diet chart with fruits, vegetables and milk is carefully designed for the Hillsiders, after constantly observing and studying the children’s food habits and choices. Creative serving ideas have been on the constant review to maintain healthy eating habits among the Hillsiders.
Our Chefs-team ensures the unique mix of both macronutrients (carbohydrate, protein, and fat) and micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) in the blueprint to provide the best eating choices for the youngsters. The majority of meals consumed at the campus are set in alignment with lower sodium and sugar meals that are acceptable to students of age group between 3 and 14.
